DONATION BOXES

What Are Our Donation Boxes?

At the R House Student Center, we believe in supporting students holistically by addressing their physical needs as well as their spiritual ones. A simple donation—like a warm coat or a bottle of shampoo—can make a significant difference in a student's life. Our donation boxes are a tangible way we can be the hands and feet of Jesus to students in our community by providing them with everyday essentials.

Host a Donation Box

Partner with us to support students by hosting a donation box at your church or organization! We're looking for partners to host boxes for one or more of our ongoing initiatives. It's a simple and effective way for your community to make a direct impact on students' lives. We'll provide the branded box and a list of needed items, and we'll handle all pickups to make it as easy as possible.

We offer three types of donation boxes to choose from:

Winter Clothing

In partnership with the national nonprofit One Warm Coat, we collect new or gently-used winter coats, hats, mittens, and gloves. Last year, we provided winter wear to 300 students. Our next drive is scheduled for October 1st, with another planned for the spring.

Food Pantry

Our year-round food pantry is a vital resource for students facing food insecurity. We accept all types of food, including non-perishable items like canned goods, pasta, rice, and snacks. We also gratefully accept refrigerated and frozen foods, and we're happy to pick them up personally. For some students, our pantry is the primary source of their daily lunches.

Household and Personal Supplies

Students often struggle to afford essential household and personal supplies. Donations of items like soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, and kitchen supplies make a significant impact, allowing students to focus their limited resources on tuition and housing.
